M2 Moments question help

The question is on the link above (or the pic below). In the mark scheme they took moments about A and I understand how they did it but I don't get why I'm wrong. Thanks :smile:

After a quick glance, where's friction in your first equation when you took moments about G?

2a*R1cos(alpha)=a*R2sin(alpha)


I'll do the question in a minute.

EDIT: I've just done the question by taking moments about GG. You've forgotten to consider the turning effect (moment) of the friction at AA.

You appear to have ignored Fr when taking moments
