Only pregnancy causes them, if you are/not you should go see your doctor.
I'm definatly not pregnant. They may not be varacous veins, but they are purple....

Its genetic, so pregnancy isn't the only cause, theres nothing you can do to get rid of them other than surgery.

What rubbish!!

To the OP - are they raised, or are they broken thread veins (i.e look almost like red pen?). If it is the former, then it's likely you have varicose veins...

We're all prone to varicose veins as we age, as the valves in our viens start to fail. The legs are the most obvious site as there is more 'back pressure' involved here...

If you do a job when you're on your feet all day, you will be more prone to developing.

They are permenant I'm afraid, but they can fade over time, and if they are unsightly you may be able to get them operated on...

Sounds more like spider veins/broken capillaries, but if you're worried get them checked out by your GP or practice nurse...

Not sure how much of a help this site will be, but it might be worth a read: http://www.thread-veins.co.uk/frames.htm

Hey, i suffer from varicose veins, its herditory in my family im afraid. But every couple of years i go and get some injections in them to shrink them down. It works really well because it takes the pain and aches away, and they dont look as unsightly. Just ask ure GP to be referred to a specialist. In the end i'll need an operation on them though, but the injections save you some time, if like me, you're too young to get them taken out. hope that helps.
They are no where near as bad or the same colours as was on the pics above.

Sounds more like spider veins- I'll get them checked out. Thanks.
