Discuss the importance of antigen presenting and antigen processing.

I ran out of idea of what to write other than it helps T cells to detect and destroy pathogens. Anything else?

Well that is the most part of it, but you could equally answer "to stop you from dying" if you wanted to be that brief - you need to think about all the different parts of antigen processing and presentation, the importance of the two main presentation pathways (MHC class I and II) and how they are important for different things, think about T helper cells and B cell activation as well as just cytotoxic T cells, think about how this fits into the overall picture of the immune response and why it is an important part of it.
