So, I was just counting and realised I had 7 jobs in 2013!

I started as a TA last Jan. Quit after 1.5 days
Then I worked in a retail head office. Quit after 2.5 months.
Then I got a climbing job. I quit before my first shift
Then I got a temp job at a finance company for 3 days. They offered me a perm role but I turned it down (So kinda quitting right?)
Then I worked in another temp job at a magic circle law firm. I quit after 2 days cos the job was boring
Then I got another temp job at a healthcare consultancy. I quit after 3 days because the salary was so ****! Work was kind of interesting though.
Then I got a job working at a London council. I'm still in this one since mid Dec - it's been 3 weeks! Woh! So long!

How mental is that? Actually I'm thinking of quitting my current job too if I get this dream geophysicist job I've spent years pursuing! Monday is make of break day!

So, What's the most number of job you've had in a year? Edit: Vote on the poll too please

of course not! Else i'd not have got the following jobs! haha! . I just put in the longer jobs from a few years back on my CV, and the retail head office one. I left out all the temp jobs and the jobs i dropped out of. It wouldn't look good on my cv now would it?

Why did you quit so much! Surely the first few days couldn't have been that bad...

I know the feeling - I've quit a few jobs - all customer service ones (not fun). Last year I had two jobs.

Last year I just had one job, stuck with it from Jan-December. Then quit. Now unemployed and looking for work again. Want something decent and I'm willing to hold out a little while for it.

i'm the same! There comes a point you have to say no to these temp jobs. Having said that parents dont get it and pressured me to accept any job i got, hence all the temp jobs ive had!!! lol.

They're temp jobs for a reason - they can't get permanent staff because the job ****ing sucks.

I've signed up to a few agencies, that'll flush some temp work out to keep the money ticking over.

In between that I'll apply for other ****, had a call back about a sales job which I'm semi-interested in, got to wait till the 20th Jan for an assessment as far as I know.

I don't know exactly what I want to do for a career yet. I get bored very easily.

I've never been in a job longer than a year, in over 10 years.

To be honest it doesnt look like you gave half of those jobs a chance. You quit way too quickly at least give it a week but in my opinion a month is more fair because it will give you a chance to settle in properly.

You quit some jobs before your first shift?! why? Also you quit complaining about the pay? Were you not informed of the pay before you started??

Stan Smith would say "Be a man and grow a backbone. Real men don't quit!"

I dont think Stan Smith applies here . Anyhow the was stated to be: £75 a day. What the guy failed to mention was i was expected to do 9 to 10 hour shifts! Thats crap when you work it out hourly! It was half the £14 ph i was getting in the job before this!

As for the climbing job i quit. The job was at the place i normally go to socialise and i wanted to keep work an play separate so decided not to work there in the end.

I had 3 last year.
I was working at 1 nursery from january-may (left there because they started giving me very little hours- i was only bank staff).
Then from june-december i was at the nursery im at now.
Ive also still been working at mcdonalds all this time- just on a sunday morning. Ive been there for nearly 6 years now. Im not about to give that up- as it was useful when i was bank staff at the old nursery- as i had the option of upping my hours there if i needed. I was going to go back full time there after my old nursery cut my hours, but then i got in at the nursery im at now really quick. And with ofsted looming and the rumours of us shutting etc, i may need it.

I know what you mean about keeping the mcdonalds job! I got a job at the moment which is pretty easy and they like me. It's temp ongoing. I might get a job offer on monday for a seismic processing geophysicist job but they want me to do a 6 month probation. I'm really scared I will fail my probation so i'm kind of reluctant to give up my current temp job. I'm thinking of asking the monday guy if i can work there 3 days, and work in my current job 3 day and have sunday off. That way I have two jobs until i'm sure the geophysics people wont sack me after 6 months.

I feel sorry for anyone who gets into a relationship with you, you've got serious commitment problems.

bit of a facetious remark don't you think? Especially on account that you know nothing about my personal life or my values as a person. You can't judge a person's faithfulness based on the number of jobs they've had. Just FYI, I'm planning not sleeping with a woman till I have found "the one". If that isn't commitment I don't know what is!
