im always hungry!

ok this seems like a strange problem, but no matter what i eat im always hungry! eg this evening, in order (since 5pm this is) ive had a pain au chocolat, a sandwich, chocolate brownie, sorbet, lots of mini sausage rolls, then (a fair sized) roast dinner, another chocolate brownie, chocolate ice cream, a bowl of crunchy nut, more (now cold) mini sausage rolls, ive just finished another bowl of crunchy nut, and still pretty hungry. weight-wise im perfectly normal, perhaps a bit underweight. ill go to bed in a bit (hungry), wake up tomorow and be even more hungry having not eaten for 9 hours,

if i go to the gym tomorrow like i should, ill finish, come home, have 2 tuna salad sandwiches (and a load of other stuff), stop off at the cadburys factory outlet on the way to work, buy about 400g of chocolate, goto work and in 6 hours probably eat it all, as well as a muffin and a pile of chips, go home at midnight and probably microwave a frozen pasta dish, have a choc brownie, some more crunchy nut and maybe a chocolate ice cream. :eating: :pizza::pizza::pizza::pizza:

is anyone else like this, cos it seems like a stupid thing to see the doctor about but.........

If you had listed healthy foods I would say good on you but the fact that 90% of it is crap is terrible...

Keep eating like that and your health will go down the drain.

my main meals are actually healthy, veg, fruit, etc, nd i do go to the gym 4 times a week, believe me or not i am actually perfectly healthy (been eating like this for the past 2 years and im still here capable of running 10k in 45mins), i eat mostly sh*t in between cos its the easiest way to fill a bottomless pit

That is because you are young. Trust me, it will catch up with you.

Doesn't matter if you eat healthy food too, the crap still reaches you.

Yep I eat loads aswell, probably not as much as you I'll admit but I eat more than most people I know and I'm a normal weight for my age and height. Apparently I have a really high metabolism which means I burn energy really fast. I'm not very clued up on this type of thing so I'm not sure how true this is but it would explain why you eat so much. If a high metabolism isn't the case then I don't know.

Deejaykelly, I just posted the exact same second as you. Rock on...

Regardless of metabolism, you should try and stick to healthy food. Are you drinking enough? Hunger isn't always about food, a drink might be enough.

hehehe so you did, what the chances of that? Very small thats for sure, I could work it out but at this time of night I really can't be arsed
Just eat man! We are all gonna die and leave our bodies here, on earth and they will rot and no one will give a crap about them.

On a serious note, I think that instead of eating the unhealthy foods, eat a variety of fruits and drink tropical drinks. This should be able to fill you up and even tho you eat the fruits in a large quantity, they are healthy and you get vitamins from them. Just try and stay away from the junk food!

If you have 23 people in a tube carriage, the odds of two of them sharing a birthday are better than 50%.
Many health problems can be related to hunger/appetite. If you can't try and control it yourself (e.g. maybe drink some water or squash when you're hungry, or have some fruit) then make an appointment with the doctor.
If you're eating THAT much and you're underweight, maybe you have tapeworm or something? I only say that cause I sort of wish I had it - I put on weight so easily :frown:

I don't really know what to suggest other than I'm quite jealous hehe! But I hope you can find something to curb your hunger pangs!
I do this too, however, I continue to eat even when the actual hunger goes which made me realise that it may not just be in response to needing fuel but might be tied up a bit in emotions. Do you think you eat to fill something other than your stomach?

I wish I could eat all that and stay skinny. I also wish I could be arsed to go to the gym 4 times a week.
Bu tseriously, all that crappy food will catch up with you one day. It's not just about staying skinny; you have to think of the damage to your long term health. If you have to snack at least choose foods with some nutrients in them. Cereal in a good one. I sometimes just nibble on handfuls of dry shreddies just to keep my hands busy.

Try eating things like wholemeal pasta if you're hungry, it's more filling than things like chocolate - you need things that actually "fill" your stomach rather than just giving you fat and sugar. You should probably go to the doctor about this though, I mean besides any health reasons, it's hardly economical if you're living/going to be living on a student budget!
Your eating too much ****. I have a mate who must have some sort of uber metabolism, as he can eat ridiculous amounts of food and not put on any weight. But he went to the doctor and was told he had very high cholesterol, which will cause a lot of problems if he doesn't cut it.
I think it could actually be a thyroid problem (overworked or whatever the actual proper name is). A girl i knew would eat soo much, just like you, but never put on weight and found out she had a swollen thyroid gland.. Go to the doctor, because whilst its good you dont put weight, if its not a thyroid problem (hopefully not) then he/she might be able to see if theres a way of eating something more substantial or put you on a diet to limit the amount of junk you're eating cause as someone else said, its going to catch up with you when you're older..

good god, you must be so expensive to keep

the thought of tapeworm seriously freaks me out! imagine having it :puke:

i noticed fruit and veg is lacking in your diet...eat them and they fill you up well and stop you from overeating later.
