Kissing with an overbite

Okay, stupid question, but does anyone here have a big overbite, and do they have problems kissing? I have quite a large overbite (not HUGE, but big enough), and I don't think it's doing me any favours in that department...

I don't have much experience, I'll be honest, but I can see... teeth-getting-in-the-way issues, and I'm wondering what can be done about it other than major dental surgery which I can't afford.

would getting a brace be too costly?

The only problem it'll cause is if you worry about it, I'm sure any guy you kiss won't notice/care.

I don't think it will be a problem. If you just relax your mouth i can't see why a slight overbite would make any difference.

No need to worry just go for it.

I think it'd have to be a bloody big overbite to give you a problem...what are you? a shark?

Pretty much.

Yes. I don't qualify for NHS dentistry, and I've tried the orthodontist and braces route before for months with little to no effect. I'm wondering if it's worth the thousands of pounds for get it fixed.

My upper set of teeth are several millimetres (4-5mm) in front. If I close my mouth, my teeth stick out slightly. 1mm is nothing...

That's because you've never kissed anybody!

...

I think I'm funny
I have an overbite, my lower jaw is directly under my upper jaw and my upper jaw covers my lower jaw. I have never been kissed before is it such a problem when your full on kissing? If so how would it effect you when your kissing?

I have an overbite and manky teeth from thumbsucking and ive never had any problems with kissing!

I'm pretty sure you wont have any problems. It's your lips and tongue you are using, not your teeth - however, i've had a few toothy kisses.

So you've already tried braces? Because I had a 6mm overbite I think and in just a month with rubber bands it's reduced by 3mm. How long did you have them? It usually takes about 18 months.

i had a take out brace and it sorted my teeth out as much as they could by braking it but i wawsnt bothered about the over bite so just left it and to be honest i dont hate but dont love my teeth

i'm sorry but what exactly is an overbite... aren't your top teeth meant to fall infront of your botton when you bite??!!
