Funny taste in mouth

I've had it for about 5 days, now. It's quite acidic, I guess, although I don't really know what Acid tastes like so I wouldn't know! It's sour enough to be acidic......

Tried everything to get rid of it, clean teeth/tongue twice a day everyday anyway, floss regularly with a hummingbird thing, my "oral health" is really good. But now I have this revolting taste which comes about all the frigging time!

Any ideas? Am I rotting away slowly or being a hypochondriac?

you could have a wisdom tooth on the way through?
Sounds like an abscess to me
eat well, and lots of water, probably to do with stomac-> something u ate for these 5 days?
Sounds like the Spunk Gnome has been visiting you in the night (and in the mouth).

I do actually, I have two that've crowned only one is hideously painful and has a massive flap of gum hanging over it. Ouch. Pleasant, non?

If I had an abcess coming through surely I'd have some pain somewhere? It's literally this one tooth which is coming through and hurts like buggery. Looks more likely to be something gastric, I did have really bad heartburn the other night, but I haven't previous to that.....

Odd.
I think I read somewhere that some women get a metallic taste in their mouth as an early sign of pregnancy..

That makes sense, seriously it hurts so damn much! It did do about 4 months ago, then went away, but by jove does it hurt now. It's throbbing right now :frown:

At the chemists theres this stuff called Orajel, its in a yellow packet and its the best stuff ever!
It says its extra strength dental gel, one tiny little drop on your gum and you wont feel the side of your face for an hour or 2 !! its great stuff! much better than bonjela!

I'm no dentist, but I would reckon the whole wisdom teeth theory is good.
