Is it possible to take AS/A2 units in the 'wrong' order?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this question. I am 26 years old and am currently contemplating retaking my Chemistry A-Level via self study. However, I think it may be too late to take the practical assessments required for units 3 and 6 this year. Does anybody know if it is permissible to take units 1 and 2 of the AS syllabus and units 4 and 5 of the A2 syllabus this summer, and then wait to do units 3 and 6 next year? Or do I have to take all 3 AS units before I can do any of the A2 units?

Any help would be appreciated

You don't have to take the units in any particular order.
Have you arranged a centre for the practical assessments? They have not yet been done at my school so it may still be possible to find a centre to do them this year.
