Hi there,

I am doing Transport in plants in Module 2.

What is a potometer? What is the function of it and how much of the potometer do we have to know for the exam.

A potometer is a piece of equipment used to measure the rate of the uptake of water in a plant. Please Note: this does not measure the rate of transpiration as you cannot measure the amount of water leaving the plant, using this equipment. Hope this helps!
