STD testing, Chlamydia

:frown: Right, well I'm crapping myself. I've been feeling a bit run down lately and had pains in my abdomen and sharp pains during sex, I also need to wee ALOT! I looked it up on wiki and this is what I found....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chlamydia it also sounds like I have Pelvic Inflamatory Disease.

Basicly I know I need to get this sorted out and now, but I don't know where to go. Hospital? GP? Family Planning?

I'm really frightened has anyone else had it? How can I tell my boyfriend? We have only been seeing each other a few weeks and he asked if I was ok and I said yeah! I feel like a D I C K!

Well don't go assuming anything until you get checked out. I had similar symptoms and went and they tested for chlamydia and gonnorhoea first and they were negative, so don't assume/worry until you've had it checked.

Well if you're having safe sex, you shouldn't be worried but obviously it's best to go to a clinic. Personally I've always asked my GP. That's what they're there for and you think they'll look down on you, when actually they see people like this worrying about STIs, every other appointment (bit of an exaggeration).

It could be a urinary tract infection, a simple bacteria that has nothing to do with an STI and then the GP will give you antibiotics for that. If it chlamydia then he'll give you a different type of antibiotics. I'd start with the GP to be honest or at least see the GP once you have the results.

The thing is, I have been on a bit of a bender recently...doing what I like and I know I have slept with a guy unprotected. But please don't judge me, when I woke up I felt **** and now this has happened and it could ruin this new relationship which I really feel like I need....
I suppose I shouldn't freak out until I know for sure but its worrying thinking that I could become infertile because of one stupid ****ting night! ARGH!

You'll be absolutely fine, as the number of people who become infertile from chlamydia is tiny. Just go get it treated if it even is chlamydia, then blame your new bloke for everything.

I wouldn't be able to, he had a scare when he was 20ish and now he gets tested every 6 months!

Has noone here ever had it?

But since she has symptoms that won't really help, as she's going to have to get to the doctor's for treatment at some point anyway.

Don't worry. Yes, it is an STI but the good thing is that it CAN be treated by antibiotics, as long as you GET IT CHECKED OUT ASAP. Go to your GP and get it checked out. I understand you feel scared and its completely natural, but remember, it can be treated. Good luck. And btw, noone will judge you because noone knows who you are... you're anonymous remember? Hehe.

I understood from your previous post that you had this one night stand before you guys started seeing each other, and if you have caught something it's unfortunate but your boyfriend has no particular justification for being angry. Especially if he's had a scare himself.

Accidents happen...He sounds like a responsible guy, not someone who's going to freak out over it.
I'd get checked out ASAP

I have. And I blamed it all on my worthless excuse for a girlfriend. Of course, it actually was her fault.

Did she cheat on you or lie about being tested when she really hadn't?

If none of the above apply, you're pathetic for blaming her.
