Hey,

I'm about to sit my first Psychology exam (cognitive) and half of our marks are from one of four seen questions. The question I've picked it is:

"Compare and contrast at least two different approaches to studying visual perception. Identify the main principles, providing examples to illustrate each, discussing similarities and differences."

My question is, should I be including studies to support my essay?
I have my four approaches (Gestalt, Ecological, Computational & Constructivist) to write about and have made a great plan of what to write however I'm not sure if I should be referring to some studies or some other sort of evidence?
