Tell "her" not to worry, everyone has strech marks somewhere (unless they are the luckiest people alive) they're normal, usually caused during puberty when your body and skin grows..no big deal

But if they are really getting her down, bio-oil is really good for them, used to reduce scars and strech marks, i think you can get it from Boots

Lol, this question comes up every week - it should clearly be sticky:p:

Well, there are lots of lotions you can buy - mainly those for women after pregnancy. Cocoa oil or somthing like that does the job as well... It depends much on the nature of the stretchmarks. For me, for example, I have had stretchmarks due to powerlifting, and these take years to go away... If you have stretchmarks from weightloss, I am not so sure - i think those go away more quickly, since they are less deep. Do not worry in any case:smile:

Palmer's Cocoa Butter for stretchmarks, or Bio-Oil is the best. Bio-Oil is fairly pricey though.

I saw an advert for this (Bio Oil) on Telly earlier and it was £8.95 - not that bad really.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter for stretchmarks.

that sounds almost edible
Also, now that the sun has come back, getting a tan reduces the appearance of stretch marks and generally makes the skin seem more toned. So get sunbathing, but use suncream

Oooh! Palmer's Cocoa Butter stuff. I have no idea if the stretch mark reducing cream works, but it smells gorgeous.

If you go into Boots, there's shelves of stretch mark reducing creams. Whether any of them actually work is anybody's guess, but the cosmetics companies are making a bomb out of exploiting women who are sensitive about their appearance. As usual. But maybe they work, I don't know.
