More likely to find one if you stop looking!
Strange but true.

Yeah agreed you tend to actually find one when your not actually looking.

Reply 3

Breadcake, people say that, but how the hell is that true?!
I like quite intellectual foreign girls usually btw, seem more interesting than mundane English ones

Reply 4

Halfway.

Just.. get involved in clubs and societies you are interested in, and get to know the girls who also go to them.

Reply 5

I'll try that

Reply 6

It's true that you tend to find someone when you're not looking. You also have a better chance of getting them coz you're not giving off any desperate 'searching fo a girlfriend' vibes.

Just to note, I wouldn't go ruling out English girls altogether, you'll find we're rather more in abundance here in England than said foreign girls  Plus not all of us are mundane!! :p:

It's true what they say about 'stop looking and you'll find someone'. Maybe because when you're looking you come across as more desperate, or maybe because when you stop looking you're more relaxed and your personality comes through more so if you do meet a girl then the situation is probably more natural and it's easier for you two to get along? I'm not sure

Good luck anyway!

Oh I'm not desperate, It'd just be good to meet someone nice and interesting.

but I don't buy this not looking business. I've done that for ages, 'cos I genuinely wasnt looking, and never met anyone

I was looking for a guy in all the wrong places, and it went wrong with all 6 of them! and just when i'd given up, Andy came along!!! now life is good!

Reply 10

Ah yes well you need to be looking but not searching to find what you want. If you are not looking and not searching then what you may want will pass you buy. Only by looking but not searching can you find what you want and avoid seeming desparate.

i wasn't even looking, he just came up to me one day, and we got on really well. we did kinda already know each other a bit tho, as he went out with my friend 1st!

I think the rule is you have to not be avidly searching, but have to be open to the idea of a relationship and would actually like to be in one?

I don't know, that just would make sense to me

don't look for anyone on here, that's a mistake i made!

Yes, but where, physically should I meet them, given I can't be arsed with the pretense needed to find a shallow nightclub fling, which I dont want

you can't find a good relationship for starters. You can find a girl and then develop a good relationship but its not all going to fall onto the plate at once.

You're looking for a specific type, you seem like the kind of guy to have the perfect girl in blue print in your mind. Thats not going to happen either, you should be more open minded when it comes to girls...we're not like paint colours you can pick from a reel, we're slightly more complicated than that. You might be suprised by other girls if you gave them half a chance...rather than thinking, ugh shes english, obviously mundane...ooh foreign girl she must be amazing.

That is not what he is looking for. He is looking for a genuinely interesting person who is good to be with, and good to communicate with, rather that just a good looking partner for sex, lol. And to be honest - that is something difficult to find.

You should not be so worried about finding the right girl straight away I guess... Although clearly, or may be not:rolleyes:, do not go and sleep with every girl you meet:p:.

Anyway, I do not really understand how to give advice on such issues, so I will stop:p:

Best of luck

Where did I mention sex? You totally confused me. Its fair enough to meet an interesting person who is good to be with yes, BUT even when you do a relationship is not going to develop from the word go. I wasn't at all referring to a partner sex only type things at all.
