I applied on the 9/01/14 and had my telephone interview on the 16th.

I think the interviewer said we would hear back after the application deadline date on the 31st, can anyone who has had their telephone interview confirm this?

Hey! I applied on 17/12/2013, and apparently they sent me an email on 7/01 inviting me for an interview, but I didn't get it, so they called me last week. Check your "application mailbox" !! When did you send yours? Fingers crossed

I applied last week on the 21st but I think I might have left it too late. I'm sure someone told me a while ago that they recruit on a rolling basis until the spaces fill up :-(

I am sure it will be fine. 21st was not so long time ago, so don't lose hope! Have you applied anywhere else? I am really nervous about this interview tmr, already got few rejects from other law firms..

Thank you! Which other firms did u apply to?

Don't worry too much, when I spoke to a member of the recruitment team at my Uni law fair she said it's all competency based. My friend applied last year and he was asked 'give an example of when you worked in a team', ' describe a time of conflicting priorities and what you did' and 'give an example of your organisational skills'. He said it was 20-30mins and they other person barely spoke.

Good luck!

O wow! Thank you so much for that! Gonna prepare answers now.
I applied to many firms to be fair, but got Wragge&Co, Ince&Co, Bird&Bird already said no.
I hope you will hear back from Irwin Mitchell soon (with good news of course)

I think the questions depend on the stream you applied for. I had my interview a few days ago. Indeed, it was only 20 minutes or so and I was asked 5 competency based questions. They all were competency based, such as give an example of your proudest moment, etc.

Good luck!
