Do Durham interview all applicants, just some or none at all?

AFAIK most do not interview, although many departments retain the right to do so if they see the need to.

Just some. It mainly depends on what course and the demand for said course.

How about PPE?

I heard at some places that dont usually interview: they interview if a) your predicted all the right grades but have a really naff personal statement or b) vice versa.
I've never heard of anyone being interviewed for Durham though. It may be different for PPE as I'm assuming its popular course.

Someone I know was interviewed for engineering, but I didn't get an interview for Maths, and another didn't get an interview for Foreign Languages.

I got an interview for Physics. Was less of an interview tho, more of an informal chat to check that I wasn't some kind of complete weirdo.

Subjects that interview - Theology, Physics, Geology, Engineering. I THINK that's it...

The admissions tutor for economics told me they only interview if they want some information that they cannot obtain from you UCAS form i.e. you've left something out or something is unclear.

I had an interview for computer science, were about 8-9 of us in for the interview aswell!

Didn't really speak about grades, more personal etc. The guy gave me two problems to solve aswell..

I know about 20 people who applied this year. Only one had an interveiw (for Physics).

I heard that they were planning on bringing in interviews from the Music department. But my source has graduated so I don't know whether it'll be true for next year or not.

I'd imagine you wouldn't have to have an interview for PPE. Certainly not on the Politics side of things.

Weird, I didn't get an interview. Everyone else at my school did for engineering/physics. :confused:

They interview some applicants for physics(I took some physics people round as an interviewee person), also some for engineering and I think most geologists (again,poeple I took round as an interviewee bod).
