A week early, my mum had to be induced because she got toximeia which could have killed both me and her. It was a very complex delivery. I had to have a clamp on my head to monitor me & to make sure I didn't go into fetal distress. I was 5 pound 9 when I was born.

It's probably because as he says earlier, he was 1lb at birth, heh.

I was 6lb13. I couldn't be more average if I tried..

I wasn't, but my brother was. A couple of weeks I think. He had a hole in his heart when he was born and he had to be kept in a incubator for a while. Gave my parents quite a scare since they thought he wouldn't survive, but he did :biggrin:

my brother was 10 days early from the due date the midwife worked out but mum insists he was on time! Ironic though how he was born just 3 days after the baby my mum lost when she was younger which was prem by 3 months! His bday is december 9th and hers would be december 6th :frown:

6 weeks premature, but then most triplets are born early. We were born by c-section as well, on the very last day our dad was working at the (same) hospital as a surgical houseman!

I was 2 weeks early and weighed 5lbs 9oz :smile:

My brother was 8 weeks early though and weighed 3lb and had to be under a special light because his liver was immature :biggrin:

Has he had a heart transplant?

My old next door neighbour was born with a hole in his heart...it was 'repaired' but when he was around 18 it got weaker...he would be short of breath a lot and turn blue after slight exercise. He died when he was 18. He didn't get a transplant in time or his family couldn't afford it or something.

Just thought you should know!

My cousin was born very early I think at about 24-26 weeks something around that she could sit in the palm of her mums hand and her mums wedding ring went up to her sholder. She is now a completely healthy 17 year old. I was 2 weeks late and had to be delivered by emergency c section and I weighed about 5lb's I believe which is quite small for a baby as late as I was.
