thats MASSIVE I pity your mum!
saying that, I was only 2lb so most babies looked huge compared to me.

bang on time lol. =]
shame i'm never on time anywhere else... =[

Reply 103

I was one week late... I was almost blinded by the forceps, I had kidney failure and also had jaundice 1 week after I was born.

But hey, I'm still here!

Aww bless you! Wow! For back then, you were a real miracle baby! Even now, survival at 24 weeks is only around 65%...

I was born bang on time, be it arse first

I think I had a 50/50 chance or maybe even less than that. That was in 1986 too so I would hope things are better now

Higher survival rates etc.

Even less than that... In 1995, English and Welsh data showed a survival rate of 34% at 24 weeks, Scottish data showed 27%...

I wasn’t born prematurely however my little brother was and he suffers from a medical condition because of that.

Reply 107

Think I was just over 3 weeks early.

I think I was due on my dads bday, but I was actually born 2 weeks early

Reply 109

i was on time, i think a few days early.. my mum wrote a baby diary, in which she says "am expecting about ten hours of labour". Oh well, lucky her, once she got to the hospital - they had a blizzard the night I was born, march 8th that is! - it was only about twenty more minutes until i popped out *g*

and the weirdest thing is that this year, on my 18th, we had this massive amount of snow again *G*

Can't remember exactly but I think I was a few weeks early, and very underweight, but I've done ok

I was taken out by c section on 20th December, was due on the 20 something of January, weighed 5 pounds and stayed in the hospital 5 days.

Would I have been underdeveloped?

Reply 112

I was born right on time, but I was induced. Both my sisters were two weeks early though which I was pleased about coz the youngest one was due on my birthday

Reply 113

about 6 weeks early, Im not sure if I have any complications beacuse of it though, apart from being a bit looney but that was probably due to my uprbringing

Reply 114

I was three weeks early, but my birth was a pre-made appointment because I was a breech cesearian. This was quite useful as my dad was able to get the time off work.

Reply 115

I was two weeks early. My brother was on time, and my sister was two weeks late. In that order

Reply 116

I was a month early and the hospital wouldn't let my mum see me because they thought I would die.

I sure proved them wrong.

Reply 117

wellp, i was 3 weeks early... he maybe i think the only complication in me is that im an introvert(scientists say that premature babies dont usually develop good social skills) lol... some of you guys ere would prove em wrong... lol ( i just read that earlier on)

Reply 118

6 weeks early.

Reply 119

4 weeks early- on, accordin to my mum, the 2nd august at quarter to midnight. however because of something at the hospital which meant if i was born on this day i would have to stay in for ages, they put me as 3rd august. accordin 2 ma dad ma mum was so doped up she don't have a clue what she's on about. she lost loadsa blood, and even though i was so early i was still 7 1/2 pounds so if i was born on time i woulda been massive! with ma bruv it was a c-section.
