Quittin Smokin

I quit smoking for 4 weeks and rarely get urges not, I resisted through some hard times but still never touched a fag....

Anyway I was wondering about the withdrawal syptoms

I recently get nose bleeds alot, atleast once a day, not normal nose bleeds but really runny blood that wont clot so I sit there for 30 mins...
I also find myself tired even if I get loads of sleep
Also my eyes hurt in the morning like at the back...
I started going to the toilet alot like number 1 atleast 10 times a day

I dunno... anything?
Nose bleeds - you can have the vein 'closed' as such - it's a very small surgery, begins with a c, but I can't spell it.

Tiredness - may be the smoking, but a lot can be affected by diet or lifestyle, look into that first, even if you do get sleep!

The eyes - might be something to do with the tiredness.

Toilet - that's not too irregular, but to be honest, all of this should be at the attention of proper medical advice.

To the doctors with ye!

Speaking only from my own experience, these don't seem to be related to smoking. The physical withdrawl symptoms seem to subside actually rather quickly. It's the psychological withdrawl that's the worst -- by far. For me, anyway.
funnily enough i had quit for 4 weeks myself, before today, when i started again.

to answer your question, none of those are withdrawel symptoms.

the tiredness may be smoking related because cigarettes are stimulents.

good on you for quiting though! piers is absolutley right, the physcological side is the one that you should worry about. or not worry about.

First off, Well Done! You should be proud of yourself, treat yourself (not with a fag :p: ) and keep it up!

I would go to the doctor about what your describing, simply because I'm sure they'll be very supportive as you're giving up smoking and wondering about the side effects.
OP, I plan on quitting soon and I wonder if you can give me some advice.

How many fags were you smoking a day before?

Did you go cold turkey or use any of the stop smoking products (patches, gum etc) and were theyt useful if so?

Any other advice on beating the cravings?

Cheers

Ahh, if he's using products, it could be a reaction to those rather than the removal of cigarettes. It's rare, but you never know. Go see your GP, he'll give you the advice you need.

Stopping smoking withdrawl symtoms are pretty much only the cravings causing a bad temper etc, the rest are pretty small.

I'd say you need to go to the doctors.

dont use patches mate, they only prolong the agony.

the best way is just to go cold, and avoid things and situations which would make you want to smoke, for a while at least. for instance, i always used to smoke when having coffee, so i gave that up for a while. its not hard at all, providing you want to do it enough, i've managed it for 6 months without much trouble. its just will power.
Well done you've overcome the first stage which is probably the hardest. Go to your docter and get some advice on treating it.
when i gave up i went cold turkey and i had sleepless nights for about a month
