Pill question...

Heya, i started the pill (microgynon 30) on the first day of my period, and a week and a half later im still bleeding. I know it takes time to settle etc, but it did this the last time i was on it and i did tell my doctor before and he said, 'give it another go'. Does it mean the pill is'nt strong enough? im going to get the brand changed or maybe a different type of contraception; like the implant or something, just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem? Or should i give it more time? thanks xx

im not too savvy but i believe changing the brand won't affect the dosage at all, it will only change the type of binder/size used

"A small number of women may have a little breakthrough bleeding or spotting while taking Microgynon 30, especially during the first few months" - from the leaflet.

Really, it depends on how heavy the bleeding is, I would think. If it's fairly heavy then you may want to see your Doc again, but if it's only light then don't worry about it, just keep taking the pill and mention it to your Doc on the next visit.

Usually takes a few months of the pill for your body to get used to it.

When I started taking Microgynon for the first time the same thing happened. Stick with it and your next period should be fine. Everyone takes a while to adjust, but it's worth it.

took me 31 days to adjust. 31 days of hell i must add. but been fine ever since. was worth it in the end altho it was a little scary as i had intense pain for most of that time which im not used to. but seriously stick with it, after me first official break i was fine.
slightly off topic, but related.
does anyone know anything about cerazette?
i'm supposed to start on it in a weeks time but last night i read loads of horror reviews about it. i was wondering if anyone had any positive stories?
