well i went to the prom yesterday and the girl i had a crush on since the begining of sixth form was there and i got talking to her but as i was slightly tipsy and the music was very loud i couldnt hear what she was saying so i just responded with smiles and yeps but as i could see that the conversation wasnt getting anywhere i went outside for cigarretes i think i came of very rude and i dont know what to do when i see her again. also i didnt ask her to dance as i was too scared but i asked every other girl however at the end she said hello to me again and i said "ou didnt dance with me" and she said "thats cos you didnt ask" so i told her i will next year and she ok so that gives me a lame excuse to go back next year even though im not in the 6th form anymore heheh. so what do you think i should do go back or not go back?
um...i dont have her number eeek! and i dont wanna ask her freinds for it know whada mean?
Yeah i know what you mean, you dont want her firends to know about you and her just yet. I don't think there's point in going back to college if you have left, plus you won't have a college id to get into college. Just learn from this experience and try to move on. I mean next time something like this happens you will know what to do.
but how can you guys be so sure that she does? im not too sure myself.
Well if you were not so sure of it then i don't think you will ever be, your moving on to uni, just learn from this experience and try to move on. I am sure there will be another one out there for you when you go to uni.
my college is the cheapest of the cheap you dont need anything to get in you can just stroll in and noone will say anything. im not gonna go back to college for another year just for this girl i was talking about just going back to the end of year prom. i asked the teachers if i could and they said yes.
I don't think it's worth it, just to go for a prom that you don't attend the college for. It's like going back to your school and taking lessons again. I don't think it's really worth you going back to your college to the prom for this girl.
Edit: Like i have said before, at your uni i am sure there will be other girls out there for you.
Would I be correct in assuming that you're wondering whether to wait a whole year just to go dance with this girl?
In which case; the answer would be no. You need to either get her number, or move on Million bucks says you'll have forgotten all about it in a year anyway! And to be honest, she probably will have too. Chances are she might have a boyfriend next time! I think it's a now-or-never situation

I agree with this. If you like her that much ask her for her number or forget about her. Don't wait a year as quite honestly that would be ridiculous. I would suggest that you move on and learn from the experience. Try to be a bit more forward in the future, if you want to dance with a girl ask her!

I really made a prat of myself at the ball. I had four gin and tonics and a gin martini and then four glasses of wine the hour before the ball in order to loosen my tongue... it certainly did that. The look on her face could have turned milk sour.

Why don't you just try to forget about it? just move on?

Forgetting is a natural process which cannot be rushed; and I have a good memory. I don't enjoy torturing myself with regrets, but it's unavoidable at times.

I know, just try not to think about it. I also hate regrets i have many, but i try not to think about it. I learn from my regrets/mistakes that i have made.
