Trigonometry maths helps

I just cant work out how to do these two questions. All answers are in the range greater than or equal to 0 degrees and less than or equal to 360 degrees. First question is 3tan^2 theta+5sec theta+1=0
Second question is: 4tan theta-2cot theta=7
I know what the trigonometry identities are but still unable to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First one recall that sec2θ1=tan2θ\sec^2 \theta -1 = \tan^2 \theta.

Second one multiply through by tanθ\tan \theta.

Both questions require you to solve quadratic equations.
