I am thinking about taking history for gcse but can someone answer these questions.
Is history gcse different to kS3 because at the moment it's not that intresting, I am mainly thinking about taking it because I am good at writing.
Also, is it easy to get a C? how are the exams?
Last thing is I am capable of getting A in english but will the stress of history essays( because I believe their are a lot ) stop me from getting that A, do the to subjects clash to much?

It does get better

When I was in Year 9 I was getting like 3c's and I ended up with an A in my GCSE, it depends on the exam board I suppose and depends on the teacher and how they teach!

My target was a B I didn't think i'd pass the exam but I was surprised at what I got. My teacher gave our class an essay a week to do but the way my timetable was structure I had triple History on a Thursday but i enjoyed it and regret not taking it as an A Level!

Whether you find it interesting or not depends on the topics you will study. Personally i love history and i now do an a-level in it. I only had two pieces of coursework the rest was knowledge and source work for exams. So i never had any problems managing work, also if anything history and english help each other because you are constantly improving your writing skills, so history will definitely not get in the way of A in english.
