Diastolic pressure and exercise

Why does diastolic pressure decrease with exercise?
Why also does it decrease above the age of 50 yrs old?
Thank you
During exercise the blood vessels dilate and become wider due to the increase in area the blood travels through it kind of disperses more and therefore pressure decrease due to the larger area.

With age the arteries become less elastic or blocked with fat which makes it harder for the blood to freely move and thus causing a high systolic pressure while having a low diastolic pressure.

Hope that helped
