On the other hand, you get people who arn't attractive on photos but gorgeous in real life!

That's what Mustard-man said.

Photos don't have personality. People do.

Yeah sometimes it happens. Theres a girl i knew who seemed attractive to me in real life compared to her snaps. Mayb its something to do with the influence of personality too. I mean when you meet someone you talk and listen and hear so you might as well get impressed by the persons personality so u feel that the person is attractive
P.S ignore this post im drunk lol

whoops read it the other way round *duuuhh* stupid me

I think I look much better in real life than I do in pictures. I have an expressive face, that's why.

I mean not even personality! I mean there's this girl in my school who doesn't look that attractive in photos, but she definitely looks attractive when I see her around in school

I guess thats me slightly, not saying im attractive in real life. But in pics i am genuinly gross. Lol. I just cant smile for something like that. I end up having an awkward smile, and i just look terrible. Just unluckily unphotogenic i guess x

This may sound weird, but have you ever found someone not attractive in a photo (i.e. not just one photo), but attractive in real life?

Very very very ironic I've happen to read this thread as I was thinking about this exact issue last night.

I think it is because in real life a persons sheer presence gives them a lot of character. An individuals characteristics are highlighted in real life, whereas in a 2D photograph its not. The persons height (can't really tell if the person is tall from a photo), behaviour (body language), facial characteristics and so on is highlighted & for some people that can be a very attractive quality.

Ive seen people who are attractive in a photo but not attractive in real life.

Before someone else says it, I will: beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Oh dear, it seems that in this situation the beholder is the same in both instances. Well, then, that's me out!

Exactly same situation here. I think it's because unless I'm genuinely smiling, my smile comes accross really awkward and forced. I hope it's only when I'm smiling for photos though, or all those times I've been smiling politely during boring conversations...... uh-oh
