The average person doesn't go to the gym. The rest probably don't go under their doctor's counsel. Ask a doctor, as you're meant to do before starting any fitness program. You may well have heart problems or something like that that you don't know about - it might just save your life.

The chances are he's a student, not a pensioner. I'm sure he's aware of any health problems that he may have. What a silly thing to say.

In answer to the question: probably about an hour, though it should be less.

It's not a silly thing to say at all. Only pensioners get health problems in soap operas maybe. But he might well have health problems.

Reply 4

Which I'm sure he/she would be aware of. How many normal people around the ages of 16-21 go to the doctor before starting an exercise regime? It'd be a good way to piss the doctors off.

Not really a question anyone can answer. My average workout is usually around 50 minutes. I would recommend keeping it under one hour.

Reply 12

Why am I not recommended to cycle for more than 1 hour?

On days off its swimming for and hour.

if its a strength workout, its supposed to be under and hour, the less the better, especially if ur skinny, as all u need to do is stimulate them and get out n recover (with a healthy diet/loadss of protein n carbs), so anythin under an hour is the best!
if its a cardio workout (loosin weight n shiz) then longer the better, but im no expert on either, tis just what ive learnt!
