So I've had sex with my boyfriend like 4 times and I just find it a bit painful and really boring.

Practise makes perfect! But maybe try different positions, like you being on top, so you can control it. Again it doesn't come completely naturally but it gives you more control over what you feel, how deep it goes, etc. But if you were both virgins then it's going to take a while before it's good. Persevere and you'll soon be loving it 
And like shady_lady said, foreplay. It'll make you looser and create more natural lube, and so it shouldn't hurt so much when he goes into you.

Your boyfriend can do very little to make it better for you, you could try getting more involved. Try foreplay or something - something to get you excited. Of course you're bored if he's just stuffing himself into you and you're lying back planning a holiday or something. In the end there's only so much he can do, it's kind of up to you to get in the mood and get involved. And if you really don't enjoy sex, well, sex isn't everything...
