GCSE Music Written Commentary

I am currently in the process of doing my first real composition for GCSE music (even though I'm in Year 11 :/) and I don't really know what to write on the written commentary. Our teacher told us that all we needed to do was write little bits about each point in the song and maybe include screenshots of little bits of the score but not the whole score, and talk about our chord progression, structure etc. However I've been looking online and the resources I've found have often talked about a brief (although a couple were from 2003 so I'm not sure). We've never received a brief and I don't even know what Area of Study my composition relates to. Also, the resources I found said we had to talk about how we have met the brief and the process we went through in composing the song, but our teacher never told us any of this. She's a pretty awful teacher though.

Our exam board is Edexcel and any help would be greatly appreciated
