never felt more horrible :(

ughh i am so upset with myself right now. i've recently moved back home and the available food and lack of a gym has taken it's toll. I feel so disgusting and it's impossible to get control back over what i'm eating. i'm due to go on holiday with my boyfriend next week and i feel so ugly and unattractive that i don't want him to have to see me. i know everyone will say 'he loves you for you' etc etc, but it still makes me feel uncomfortable being intimate when i know i'm not looking my best.far far from it. i've put on about 7 pounds and i'm so so angry with myself. don't really know why i'm posting i just wanted to get it out because i feel like c**p. I hate the fact that my self esteem is based only on whether i think i'm looking slim or lumpy.it's a real problem with me, because it makes me not want to go out, and i feel like i am the most disguting person alive and just want to hole up by myself......not go on holiday when i'm supposed to be looking nice. how much of a change can i make in a week?think quite a lot of it is pmt and water retention etc but i feel HIDEOUS!!!! how much do guys notice (honestly) if their girlfriend has put on weight?!
sorry
rant over
self pity vented :frown:

Where the **** do you live if you can't find a supermarket with decent food and a park to run in? You don't need a gym!
My girlfriend got seriously annoyed when i noticed she had stretch marks and I said,

"oh so have you lost weight or put on?"

girls.. cant understand them!

not what i mean...... if there's nice available home cooked food lying around it's hard not to pinch a bit.... and if there isn't the motivation of the gym round the corner (i live in the middle of nowhere) then that doesn't help. thanks for your constructive comments.

I thought it was - park, aka: the great outdoors that are the 'middle of nowhere'.

The OP is bankrupt of common sense

Are you joking? How would you feel if someone wondered if you'd put on weight?! Not all girls are comfortable with their bodies, which isn't surprising when people point out stretch marks and make a deal out of them.

So what do you want me to do? Motivate you? There is plenty of opportunity to eat healthily and exercise, and you can't be arsed - what am I supposed to do?

So what would you suggest? Move house to somewhere with no home-cooked food and a gym?

Would you be happy if he put on half a stone? Wait until you're married to get fat...

I would wonder a bit too, but i wouldn't know. I go up and down by stones over a particularly excessive or recessive weekend.

Side note, i didn't 'make a deal' out of it.. you know I thought it was probably ok to bring up that kinda thing in a proper relationship, its just interesting, making conversation and all that. Perfectionism is the bane of my personal and professional life!

Right so what do you want us to say?? Have you heard of using your legs? Walking? Jogging? No? I put on nearly a stone over exams (do you hear me complaining about it??) I live nowhere near a gym and only have sh*t ready meals in my house. Boo. Hoo. I go jogging for 1hr30 to 2hours every day and do sit-ups or whatever when I'm doing nothing. Problem. Solved. I can see a difference after 1 week.

Do something about it- if you've got a boyfriend and you're worried what he might think then change yourself. If you, YOURSELF have got a problem then do it for YOU. Just go for a run. It's not rocket science.

(Sorry if this is harsh but I cannot STAND self-pity when there is no real problem and an EASY solution.)
Well said sir ^^^^^^^^^^^^

If i had a girlfriend, i'd work my ass off to remain healthy, with a good body...
It's a strong motivation to keep fit and remain so.
