It's not really stupid because everyone knows it's the professor... If professors didn't exist doctors and lawyers would be anyone who know nothing, and who knows who would be operating on you...

The professors taught doctors and lawyers.

Medical lawyers do actually exist...

If the poll was between doctors vs lawyers I would vote doctors... But medical and criminal lawyers tend to be more smarter... Because a lot of take a science subject and some actually study scientific stuff along with humanity stuff.

Well if it was between doctors and lawyers I would vote doctors.. But a doctor against a medical lawyer or criminal lawyer, who also went to a top uni and took up forensics and other science based subject along with a law degree. You know the lawyer would win...

If it was the best in each, I would say the best prof > best doctor > best lawyer.

best prof wins as he/she has to know the subject and be able to teach well.

On the whole though, I don't believe professors are near this 'best' level. I disagree on the professor teaching doctors and lawyers as well, who says most doctors and lawyers are taught by professors, they might do most of their teaching themselves, thus the professor might not make a difference.

Anyway, answering the question, doctors > lawyers > professors

Depends what you mean by intelligence. I've met some esteemed academics who are defeated by a light switch.

Are we just measuring on a standard intelligence scale or are you including emotional intelligence?
