What do you do with your free time?

I came home from Uni near the start of June and for the last 5 weeks all I've done is sit at home watching TV, listening to music and browsing the internet. I've been out with friends a few times but most days I just hang around the house doing nothing.

I'm a bit angry at myself that I've spent half the summer doing nothing productive. I split up with my girlfriend of 2 years as Uni finished so I'm using that as an excuse for wallowing around in self-pity but I dunno if it counts as a valid excuse.

Not that I'd know what to do anyway, I don't really need a job and I have plenty of free time on my hands.

What do you do with your free time over summer?

i've basically done the same but i could do with a job it's just i have no motivation at all. although i'm sure once i get a job i'll be complaining that i have too much to do rather than now where i'm complaining i have nothing to do.
My free time is split into 3 parts:

Beginning: Spent mourning how previous free time was wasted, and reflecting on the joys of non-free time and all the rubbish stuff that's happened.

Middle: Spent sleeping, listening to stuff, reading stuff, watching stuff, eating stuff, and wishing that something would happen. Occasionally, I write stuff as well, either on MSN, paper, or TSR.

End: Spent getting worked up about things that are going to happen, and trying to organise it all in my head.
I like doing nothing,

I enjoy being bored,

I just got a job

...now i have things to do :frown:

i needed the money though

Sleeping, spending time at friend's house kicking a football around and inventing games to waste time (childish I know but I don't care), going to the gym, cycling, eating, watching TV, TSR, drinking, listening to music, climbing and going on trips with friends etc.

I recommend doing lots of sport, it makes you feel like you have done something with your day and also I hear it is good for you.

Spending money

:frown:

It's what happens when I get bored.

I planned to do such a lot- then the exams finished and suddenly you go from everything being so intense and under pressure to having absolutely no reason to get up in the morning. I have tried to look for a job, and failed miserably... I just watch TV, listen to music, laze around aimlessly, writing my novel. I said I would learn the guitar I have had for over a year. I said I would read the books I have accumulated over the last few years that sit collecting dust. Urrhh. They work us too hard and then we drop dead.
Well that was a cheery post.

Sit in the garden drinking a few bevvies with mates, and have bbq's and random nights out when we aren't skint.
I've spent a lot of free time scouting out statues throughout the state of Michigan. And then more free time taking a group of friends in the middle of the night to dress said statues in drag. Why? Because I always wanted to do it in high school and had friends who were too cowardly.

The rest of my spare time is spent in a coma. Because 9 solid days of sleeping can only be called a coma.
chill out...enjoy the sun, drive around.

This summer I've been making a wonderwoman costume haha, but otherwise, I go skiing, swimming, snowboarding, to the gym, I meet up with my boyfriend and we go places like northampton and bletchley to shop, I keep a diary, play piano, go on bike rides, go to the cinema, play swingball in my garden etc.
I do basically what i feel like; rather than fit to a specific timetable in exam time. No one gives a jack when you do in these hols..so just enjoy them!

I was happy in the haze of a drunken hour
But heaven knows I'm miserable now

I was looking for a job, and then I found a job
And heaven knows I'm miserable now

In my life
Why do I give valuable time
To people who don't care if I live or die ?
