Need to lose weight!

Im starting uni in about over a month and need to lose weight before I start! I wanna shed about 2-3 stone (at least!) would cycling for an hour a day and/or jogging for an hour a day be the right way to go about it
:frown: Over the last year Ive had to deal with some emotional problems and have been comfort eating a lot so have put on weight.. some of which I'd managed to lose before! Im 5ft 3 and on the last time I weighed myself a few weeks ago I was 11 stone nearly 12 and its really shocking how I went to that from 9 stone in a few months

If you actually want the weight to stay off, and not to end up putting it back on and more to boot, then there is no real way you can expect to lose that much weight in a month or so.

Eat healthily, drink lots of water and aim to lose about 1 pound a week (you will lose more to begin with, but this will be mostly water).

The best way to lose weight is to stop drinking alcohol (that's only if you do  ). I didn't drink for almost a month due to exams, and the weight dropped off... And I'm not even a hardcore drinker!

Or just go clubbing and drink water.

Learn how to loose weight. That should answer your question, there was a link in there to a page with various exercises and how effective they are at using up calories.

Losing two to three stone in a month is a very very big ask, maybe you should set yourself smaller weekly targets or reconsider? I'm running 3km a day, then every week increasing the distance by 1km. I've already lost 2kg in 5 days which is good!
