Masters degree in the USA

Hi, I for numerous reasons would like to do a Msc or PhD in Physics in the USA, but preferably a Masters degree, and I am a little uneducated and confused when it comes to finance, entry requirements etc.

A few of the universities I have looked at offer quite large stipends for a Msc degree, which includes some aspect of teaching undergraduates. But do these tend to be only for non-international students?

Do Msc degrees in the US tend to be self funded, or can you manage on the stipends provided?

Also what sort of degree grade do they tend to look for? I'm currently working at around a 2:1 or possible 1st suffice?

Many thanks
