I'm studying... working in insurance sector

I'm interested in... doing a pgce primary @ Coleraine

I'm thinking about... I have a BA Hons degree in American Studies ...is there no forseeable way of getting into a pgce @ coleraine if you don't have straight English or History for your degree? please help! The criteria is so strict...! it being an integrated honours means my degree was made up of modules from various faculties, primarily English, History & Politics..+ I'm a lot older than the general applicants to say the least &..long out of practice of academia! I have been thinking about teaching for years but never made the jump..any advice folks? or am i wasting my time..? It's something I would love to do..but don't want to be knocked back @ the first hurdle..
