When to decide on private accommodation? watch

    • Thread Starter

I'm currently a first year looking for accommodation to rent next year with my friends.

My friends seem to be in a rush to get a house, for example we've found one house and looked at it today, the location is good but the price isn't amazing however they seem really eager to pay the deposit. My worry is, we've barely even looked at other houses.

If I suggest to look at other houses and not to put the deposit so soon on the house we like, then in that time period chances are another group will rent it and it'll be my fault if we don't find another house that is as good. On the other hand, we may find a house which is even better.

Our university even recommends us to start looking after February since they'll be putting a new list up.

What would you recommend I do?
