Just wondering if anyone has the same intake date as me on the 26th March 2014 . I have completed PRTC and I have got my 308 interview coming up very soon , it would be cool to know some of you guys at least , a few other people did the same thing here on facebook but for prtc and it was a great success as we did not waste the first day with awkward introductions. I even stayed in contact with a few of them even though some were on different intakes. So if anyone wants any info on our intake with some of our flight staff or tips on PRTC your more than welcome to post a question on here .

Hey I have a provisional date for my basic training which is the 26th of March 2014. I am due to attend my prtc on the 11th of February 2014 so any help with how to deal with prtc would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Katy

PRTC is in my opinion a taster of what to expect in your 10 week basic training course , the Cpl's are strict from when they pick you up on the bus at the train station all the way till you depart . Congratulations on reaching the stage of prtc . The first day you willl arrive and get to know one another . The next day you will do a fitness test (just don't fail it or you will have to wait 6 months) , in that afternoon you will do a basic skills test , its dead easy so don't worry. The next few days you do your functional skills depending on what trade your going to do , also they will fit you in to boots and you can take these home and bed in. Thats about it really for PRTC . The food is amazing and I had a great time socialising with my fellow recruits . Im sure you will have a great time. Oh yeh , they will make you march around the complex , pretty funny as we got weird faces from the current recruits, we obviously failed at marching pretty bad but thats not the point . At least we tried and thats what the cpl's wanted us to , put effort in. And the food in the mess is the best grub ive had in a long time , they know how to treat you down in that mess .After that you will get some documents posted to you that you will need to fill in , your final interview will consist of an officer asking you questions ,similar to your first interview . And then your signed up . Looking forward to seeing you on March 26th , if you need anymore help , just ask a question on here and i will try and help.

Hi Ben, I have a few friends who have done prtc recently with one just at basic training just now. I've heard all the horror stories so I have a rough idea of what to expect. as long as the foods good everything will be ok haha. What trade is it your going for? I'm hoping to become a flight operations assistant Katy.

I'm going for supply , I was originally going for aerospace ops but I was colour blind at the medical , at our prtc , we were told that our intake had an ex raf police as our Sgt , but the rest are personnel support , no regiment trainers for us by the sounds of it. There were quite a few of us going in on the 26/032014 , they are great guys , I still keep in contact with them on Facebook.Good luck at prtc . Enjoy it

Yeah, but we did get *******ed that time marching back from stores, when 40% of people couldn't keep step. Ah fun.
