Eating with Norovirus? watch

I got Norovirus about two days ago, it started off with a little diarrhoea, then later that night I was sick about five times (ew). I haven't been sick in about two days and I can keep water down completely fine now but I'm still taking it in small sips. I actually just had some tea with milk and sugar and feel okay, and had some toast with butter this morning, and I had toast twice yesterday too and a biscuit.

I really want to eat something else as I'm getting really bored with toast. I don't have any soup here but I was thinking of having like half a tin of spaghetti on it's own or something? I don't want to overdo it but I feel a bit hungry but I'm not sure if it's suitable. I'm vegetarian so I can't have chicken or anything.

    Anyone have any tips?

Spaghetti would probably be safe enough. Sounds like you're over the worst of it.

A banana would probably be ok too or a bit of cereal. If you find yourself fancying or craving anything, I'd say go for it. Its your bodys way of saying you need something from it... just small portions and take it slow.

I've had two biscuits, a tin of tomato soup and four slices of toast spread out over the day and I still feel pretty hungry.

Do you think it's okay to start introducing richer foods into my diet?

    Guessing you're OP.

If you're hungry, eat what you fancy... you're probably pretty much over it. Just stick to small portions and eating slowly

do take it easy I wouldn't recommend anything really rich quite yet but give it a few days until you go for anything really rich like spagbol but as everyone else has said eat what you want and stop if it makes you feel sick again

It’s important to remember that, once you’ve contracted the Norovirus, there’s little that can be done for you to actually get rid of it. It’s a virus.

That said, as mentioned before, there are still a number of great ways to help you live through it. Because without that, even seven to 10 days can be unbearable.

Perhaps the two articles below will help you with useful advice on this issue.
