So I'm a first year physics student at Lancaster, and have doubtlessly failed 2/4 of my January exams, and quite possibly all of them. I attended nearly all the lectures and got reasonably high average coursework marks, and I also revised quite a lot, but I knew going in I was going to do poorly, and I did. Can I progress to next year after failing these exams, assuming I do better in the summer ones, or will I have to resit the ones I failed and pass to be able to move on to next year? I'm wondering if uni is even right for me. If I'm struggling so much with first year, which is of course supposed to be the easiest and supposed to ease you in, what hope do I have for the rest of uni? any advice would be appreciated.
