No. Eating makes you gain weight.

If energy intake exceeds energy usage = weight gain.
Vice versa.

does eating bananas, bread, potatoes and rice make you gain weight?

thx

Apparently, Yea. Because those foods contain a high amount of carbohydrates, which if not used turn into fat! Thats why people who carry out a low carb diet tend to loose weight quicker because they are using up all the little carbohydrates they have in their bodies. This is explained in the ATKINS diet I think.

Ok.

My main concern is the bananas. So if I eat bananas, and do not exercise it off, will it be stored as fat?

If you want to keep at the same weight then eat a balanced diet...this means eat one banana a day. Why eat more?

I eat all those things and I don't gain weight. Hmm. Now I feel like a banana.

Eat a balanced diet, eat (assuming you're a lady) approx 2000 calories per day, do a bit of exercise and you'll be fine.

Think about it logically!

Eating anything in excess is going to make you gain weight. Have one a day and you won't.
Reply 18
ok thanks!

but eating fruits (apple, oranges) in excess wont make you gain weight right?
Reply 19
A lot of apples, oranges etc are liquid anyway so they won't usually. Just make it balanced.
