After 4 years of abuse from my mum, I want to tell my nurse everything but I am scared of the outcome. Will they do something without asking me, I am 20.

No there's a confidentiality thing, but if they think you are in danger they might do something but they would need your permission first because you are over 16. You can ask the nurse before telling anything, saying it in a hypothetical way.

I'm not hundred percent sure, I know doctors can't say anything, when I see my counselor everything I say is confidential, nurses may be different, the best thing to do is ask.
