What specification requirements of my PC do I need to know before choosing a new graphics card?

I can give a few specification requirements I already know, such as a quad core intel i5 processor with 6GB RAM, I have a 1 TB hard-drive, it needs to work with d-sub connectivity and finally I am on a 64 bit PC with a native 1920x1080 monitor.

Is this all I need to know, or are there other requirements I need to take in to account before buying. I also don't really want to spend more than £200 max. I imagine that is all I will need because I don't play games that require a high spec graphics card.

I'll reply pronto to anyone who can help! Thanks!

Yep, síde panel and check for a box whích has the plug attached to ít on the outsíde. Íts really ímportant, íf you wanna get a proper gpu for gamíng, the psu has to be able to take it, otherwíse your system may not start up, or shutdowns at more graphíc moments or faíls and could take components wíth ít.

Yep, you need to get a new power supply.....a decent one, branded, 80+ bronze at least...........wattage wíll dependíng on the gpu you get but gettíng 600 watts would be ídeal.

Seems to have partíally modular psu's from Akasa on sale

Okay thanks, so if I opted for this power unit http://www.scan.co.uk/products/600w-...-enhanced-plus

Could you then recommend the best graphics card I could get for about £150? Preferably from the same site?

Stay away from that psu, ít'll under a decent gamíng gpu, causíng a force shut down or at worst you'll hear a pop meaníng íts dead and ít could take other parts of the pc wíth it.
Under £150 R9 270 for a few quíd over £150, the R9 270x, however that psu can't handle ít, íts a cheap psu whích wouldn't even gíve out 600watt and faíl under the load.
