I'm currently studying English lit, English language, biology and general studies at A2 and due to a lot of personal reasons which have resulted in a lack of confidence in myself and studies I'm predicted CCCD at a level, however I believe I will achieve CCDD. Because of this I've applied to English courses with a foundation year at 4 universities with Manchester met being my firm choice (I was ecstatic when I received my offer for 180 ucas!!) unfortunately during year 12 my confidence was dragged down into the gutter and I did a lot worse at AS than I should've. As a result of this I dropped out of year 13 because of certain people who caused this whole situation and have resat year 13 and my A2's. Since September I have been very focused on my studies and have began to realise I'm not as 'thick' as I initially thought. I am dedicated to my studies but I've realised I still won't be able to get the grades to go straight onto the honours degree so applied for the foundation year instead. Obviously I will be very determined to pass the year and will work to the best of my abilities but also I want to enjoy bring a fresher and will balance my studies with going out and enjoying myself. Do you think I've made the right decision?
What are the downsides?
