I'm really close to my parents and I had the idea of hiding a little quirky hamper in their bedroom before I go to uni, they will be driving me there cuz it's quite far away, and texting them when they're one their way home so they find it when they get home.

I was thinking of filling it with things like a wad of postits with my address on it, a map of the uni area with stars on hotels and where I'll be living, a box of tissues and other little jokey things to make them smile cuz I know my mum's gonna be really upset to see me go(I'm an only child)

I really wanna do it but I don't know if it'll make them more sad that I'm not gonna be at home anymore or if it will make them smile :-/

    Any advice??

I like the idea, but I wouldn't fill it with just jokey presents. I'd also add in some to show how grateful you are for everything they've done/you'll miss them/you care.

So a photo of the 3 of you or something? Or some nice chocolates etc.
