Looking to do English and Film at uni, currently doing Eng Lit, History, German and Gov and Pol. Should I take on another AS level (Art History or Film) or an extended project in year 13? What would be best to drop?

Check out the entry requirements for a range of Film and English courses at a variety of different Universities. For example :

Royal Holloway for English & Film Studies = AAB-ABB including A in English, or equivalent
Portsmouth =
240-300 points from 3 A levels or equivalent, to include 80 points from A level English.

You will also obviously need some evidence of a real interest in the theoretical/academic side of Film.
