Eyebrow Piercings

Hi

I was thinking of getting a small eyebrow piercing and was wondering if anyone else has one  (guys that is).

How much does it hurt?
Does it hurt when its actually in?
Can it be taken out and if so how easy is it to put it in/take it out?
What are schools' attitudes to them?
And is there any significant risk of infection or other health problems?

Thanks in advance

Firstly, how old are you?
Secondly, TSR is not the best place to find out about piercings as only a few people will have them. This site is well known if you want to find out more information:
http://www.bmezine.com/

I'll tell you now though that eyebrow piercings can be troublesome and can get infected at the beginning. Also as they're a surface piercing they tend to be rejected over time and if you don't take it out in time it'll rip your brow.

I used to know someone that claimed their eyebrow peircing caused there eye brow to sag. Im not sure if they were being truthful, since they had the peircing before i met them, so i couldnt compaire a before and after. Although their eye brow wasnt in the same place as their other one.

Hi i have mine done and im a guy. I will try and give you the best advise i know but im not a doctor

How much does it hurt?

I take it you mean getting it done. It not a too painfull piercing at all. It a bit like being stung by a stinging nettle, a bit uncomnfortable but it does not hurt.

Does it hurt when its actually in?

If you mean just after it has been done again it will be a little sore if you knock into it but apart from that will be ok. This is only while it heals. No i do not even notice that it is in at all.

Can it be taken out and if so how easy is it to put it in/take it out?

Yes pretty easily. You just unscrew the top and it will then easily come out. You won't be able to do this straight away though as it will need to heal. It is easy to put back in aswell not a problem

What are schools' attitudes to them?

I got mine done when i was 17 in the sixth form and they did not mind. Depends on school policy i suppose. Depends also how old you are.

And is there any significant risk of infection or other health problems?

Not if you take proper care of the piercing. wash using sea salt and you will be fine. it will be explained when you have it done.

Thanks in advance

No problem at all. any other questions feel free to pm me

i agree. www.bmezine.com is the best place to fnd out about peircings and stuff but asking on here is ok too.

i dunno how much it hurts but some peircings will hurt a little while after youve got it done.
peircings can be easy to take out but id advise that you dont take out the peircing until its healed, that way it wont hurt when you take it out and it wont be so open to infections because its healed.
when you get it peirced you must clean it everyday with salty water or savlon anticeptic spray to kill bacteria and stuff so it stays clean and heals better.
another thing is you should only take the bar out of your planning to clean it and ut it in straight away cos if you took it out and didnt put it back in for a while it would start to close up and it be hard to put the bar back in.
why dont you ask your school if they dont mind them? cos you dont wanna spend that money and then have your school say you must take it out.
