PGCE: Can I be a history teacher at secondary level with no a levels

I'd like to be a History teacher but instead of A levels I did a national diploma in Sports Science and an undergraduate degree in Sports Science. Can I do a PGCE or do I need a levels?
You won't be able to switch to History as you have no background or qualifications in the subject. PCGE courses teach you how to teach - not the basics of the subject.

You either need to do a History degree or think about being a PE teacher.

To do a secondary PGCE in a subject 50% of your degree must be in the subject you want to teach, so you need a degree with 50% of the content in History,
