Hello im an imperial offer holder for chemical engineering. I have decided though that this is not the course i would like to take. Can i change it now or should i reapply next year?

If you hold an offer for it, then you should decline it on UCAS. You can then apply through extra to whichever course you actually want to do. I think you can make another personal statement for the course you want t do but you will have to ring the uni's you want to apply to and explain your situation and whether you can send another personal statement to them

Before declining on offer, you should contact the admissions department to ask if they will allow you to change. I know some people in the past who managed to change before starting their course while others couldn't. I think it depends entirely on the department you want to switch to and whether or not they still have places available.
