I've always been proud of the British Identity and my view that mass migration has led to the breakdown and subversion of traditional British Culture has led me to question my former economic stance. That being my generally free marketer approach, however with the rise of large state run companies in China for example, the benefits of state run industries are starting to dawn on my, so I endorse state property on a basis of efficiency, for example the mass economies of scale that can be produced or the ability to produce at where the marginal cost of production is equal to price. Furthermore state control of the means of production will be instrumental in the promotion of the British cultural identity. Mass migration has been used a tool of the established elite to create a surplus army of labour which has been used to push down wages to the lowest common national denominator to the benefit of the haves and the detriment of the have nots. My reading of Marx has led me to join the 'Fabian society' where I have begun to further develop my views. FYI I'm currently an A2 student hoping to study economics at university.

You're undoubtedly left wing on the whole, though you've got a few worrying nationalist (typically right-wing) ideals as well.

How do you view the British identity? Is it the queen, or is it the collective spirit of the all of the ordinary people living in Britain? If the latter, then you're certainly supporting a more left-wing, populist brand of nationalism.

By the sounds of it, you're not against immigrants specifically as a social group (you're not discriminatory), but you oppose the economic effects they have on the working class. Certainly left wing, Ed Miliband shared similarly concerns of immigration from a left-wing point of view.

There is no left wing or right wing anymore. Especially not in the modern political sphere.

I think that the collective spirit of our nation is more important. However it is unfortunate that the British Identity is so riven with a tradition of privilege, if we are to engage with the British working class (who have given up that name for 'lower middle', working class is now an insult) we must engage with british culture with all its ills, however as socialists we may mould certain elements into a socialist culture, with the queen as part of the state apparatus to appease the working class. However her position would be radically different relative to that of today.

Regardless of our divisions on this issue, we are socialist and our primary aim should be to replace the current capitalist system, the exploitation and demonization of the economically weak, with people being constrained by their inherited wealth and not being afforded with the opportunity to prove their responsibility and performance.

Or to put it another way, he's a left wing authoritarian nationalist.

Authoritarian is a bit harsh. I highly doubt the OP believes in controlling and suppressing the working classes.

It's simple. Are you a scumbag? If so, you're left wing.

It's simple. Are you a racist, xenophobe, homophobe or do you think unchallenged free markets are a good thing (despite the fact that they continually impoverish billions over the world)? Are you a supporter of corporate power? Do you think that income inequality is good? Do you support rich people, CEOs and investment bankers? If so, you're right wing.

Looks like we aren't too far off, but you are more extreme in your left-wing views and authoritarian views than I.

I had a feeling some tree hugging leftie would take offence to my clearly tongue in cheek post. Your ideas of what constitutes right wing are laughable. Go be a nuisance along with your greenpeace buddies :borat:

I see you edited your post. Slyly done. Also yes income equality is absolutely necessary. Why bother working hard if some retard next door can sit in his 9-5 bumming around and earn the same?

Idealists never get far.

Take this test, I'd laugh if you turned out left-wing. But do it. And post your result.

If I'm totally honest, my views just sometimes change randomly, it's actually quite funny. But, I have taken that quiz a fair few times, and I've always turned out in the left-wing/authoritarian portion of the box.
