Well if you haven't had sex before you probably will be quite tight but from the experience of your second boyfriend it sounds like your hymen may not have yet broken

hymen?

^^^beat me to it!
Hymen's hardly a bone though, is it? That's not gonna stop a penis - if the hymen's still there then chances are the girl is also still very tight, and it'll be THAT that's stopping the penis.

Move up in the size chain slowly, and use lube.

hymen?

Oh dear: Wikipedia

Are you aroused when you try and have sex? You might need more foreplay.

And the general suggestion when anyone's having sex problems: More lubrication!

Okay but how often is his winkie going to bump up against a bone? He probably doesn't know what it would actually feel like and was just hazarding a guess

Stop being so patronising. They were asking the OP if maybe it was the hymen (and that was clear before the edit). And why are you posting as anon you monkey?

When did she say he said it felt like a bone?

I posted as Anon because people I know come on this forum and I don't really want them to see my talking about lube and foreplay, thanks.

I thought the person I was replying to was asking what a hymen was, as that's all the post said at the time.

You may be suffering from Vaginismus. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaginismus

If I were you I'd invest in a good vibrator, it might help you get used to having something as big as a penis inside you..

Hmm okay fair enough maybe it was the OP herself :p: I don't know what the hymen feels like because I don't remember mine breaking but if it's quite thick then it could feel like there's something in the way...like a bone maybe? Also if it really hurt him doesn't that maybe suggest his winkie was getting smooshed up against something? :>.<:

hymen cant be that tough can it? and ive bleed a litle before. but thanx
I doubt the hymen would be that tough but I don't know! Maybe you could, ahem, have a little look down there yourself and see if you can find the little bugger

You can find some pictures on google image search for hymen but they're not incredibly fun...ick

That's actually quite interesting, maybe something to consider OP?

Were you nervous at the time? Could you feel your muscles down there contract? that would make you tighter. Vaginismus is along those lines I think...

yeah i read about that a while back but i dont think that applies to me. thats why i wanted to ask for your opinions. its definitely not a case og vaginismus becuase i dont have any fears about such an act.
no im not nervous at all. i am a very sexual person so this was a bit of a shock.

You could go and ask your GP. I am sure they will have encountered this before and perhaps examine you to check everything is OK then go on from there.
Wikipedia
Most women who suffer from vaginismus do not realise they have it until they try to insert a tampon or have sex for the first time and so it may come as quite a shock to them. .... It can often be very confusing for a woman when she discovers she has vaginismus as we are led to believe that sex is something that comes naturally to us. It can be even more confusing if the woman does not know why she has the condition, as is true for many women.

It sounds like you don't necessarily have to be actively afraid of sex, it sounds quite subconscious?

I would go to your doctor and ask
