Where can I get The Pill?
Hello
I have been thinking about going on the pill and decided to do it now. Where do I go to get it? I know I can get it at my GP but my GP is so far out of town I don't have the transport to get there at the moment (the trains don't go there either!)
I have a Family Planning Clinic in my town though (www.fpa.org.uk)
Can I get the pill from there?

Yes you can get it from an FPC
They might ask you about your blood pressure and take a family history. Takes 5 mins, and is all they asked me at my local FPC.

They also checked that I was using it for contraception, since you have to go to your GP if you want something for heavy periods. It's helpful if you know the date of your last period and the length of your cycle.

So I don't need an appointment or anything? Just walk in?
I just walked in off the street to my local family planning clinic, and didn't need an appointment - did take two hours, though. 
I got asked about family med history, my blood pressure, my weight and height, and told a little about the pill I was put on. That's it, really.
