The Cambridge LLM

Does anyone do the LLM at Cambridge? (Postgraduate MA in Law).

I've heard that standard offers are 67% in your LLB undergraduate degree, is this really true? I'm surprised they don't require 70%+ because I know that to get onto the BCL at Oxford you need to obtain a 1st.

So, if anyone has done the LLM, what is it like? Is it pressurised/very difficult? Would it be worth my while and would it increase my employability?

Thanks

According to the graduate studies prospectus that is the minimum requirement for entry to the course. Meaning that the average calibre of applicant is probably a lot higher than that, and they don't necessarily take a high proportion of people with 2.is. Can't give you any specific info on the course itself though as I don't do law!

67% was the old standard offer, the board switched to a straight first offer this year though and this seems unlikely to change.

The LLM is meant to be tough, and certainly increases your employability - how much it does so (as with all LLM') is the real question. For the bar it is probably worthwhile, and it is certainly, with Oxford, one of the top 2 LLM's in the country.
